NSP Alumni Grant program for the 2010–11 |

The Open Society Institute’s (OSI) Network Scholarship Programs (NSP)
is pleased to announce the new call for applications for the 2010 - 2011
Alumni Grant Program. This program offers grants to NSP alumni
to further expand the knowledge gained during their fellowship and make
a positive contribution to their home country.
Deadline for the 2010 competition is: Friday May 14, 2010.

The new Call for Proposals for CEU Summer University 2011 |

has been posted at http://www.sun.ceu.hu/01-about/proposals.php.
The program is seeking innovative, research-based and/or
policy-oriented course proposals taught by a team of 5-7
outstanding faculty members, preferably a good mix of eastern
and western scholars.
The submission deadline is
May 15, 2010.

The Open Society Foundation and Maastricht University |

invite applicants for the Master’s scholarships in the field of European Studies. Please choose
one of the 3 available courses: the Master in European Studies, the
Master in European Public Affairs,
or the Master in Analyzing Europe. Each scholarship includes max. 18 months.
Completed applications should be returned to our center by
8 March 2010.

Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF) |
|
Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund (MMMF) provides financial assistance to women from developing
countries during their studies in the United States or Canada. The purpose of the grant is to support
the education of women from developing countries who are committed to improving the lives of women and
children in their home countries.
On-line application for the academic year 2010-11 will be available from November 2, 2009
to March 18, 2010. Women from developing countries (including Ukraine) enrolled at US
or Canadian colleges/universities will be eligible. Applications can only be submitted by accessing
MMMF website at www.mmmf-grants.org and completing the online application form.

OSI/FCO Chevening Scholarships 2010-2011 |

The Open Society Institute welcomes applications from citizens of Ukraine for the
OSI/FCO Chevening Scholarships 2010-2011. The scholarships are for postgraduate study
for periods of up to one year. Within the Scholarship Scheme the following options are
available:
- Research Scholarships at the University of Oxford (9-month Research Scholarships
for postgraduate research in the Humanities, Social Sciences, or Environmental Sciences)
- Master’s Scholarships:
- At the University of Oxford (within the Humanities, Social Sciences, or Environmental Sciences)
- At the University of York (MA in Political Philosophy -The Idea of Toleration).
Completed application forms must be returned to our center not later than
11 January 2010.

The Undergraduate Exchange Program (UEP) of the Open Society Institute (OSI) |

is currently recruiting Scholarship Consultants to conduct interviews in Southeast Europe and Mongolia.
Scholarship Consultants will be part of an interview team to select finalists for the UEP Program,
a fellowship program sponsored by the OSI in New York www.soros.org.
Candidates familiar with OSI or American scholarship programs are preferred.

CEU Research Fellowships 2010-2011 |
|
CEU Professorial and CEU Visiting Research Fellowship is a program for teachers and researchers
holding Ph.D. or equivalent, working in Central and Eastern Europe (except EU), former Soviet Union,
and Mongolia. Fellows are supported for a research period of one to six months. This program is
publication-oriented and promotes original research.
